Anybody knows what is up with Eric Byrnes? I know that he doesn't hit for a high AVG but all these 0-4 games are getting a little old. I mean the entire Arizona lineup got a hit tonight except for him, and that includes Randy Johnson! I read his hamstring is healed now so is it just a matter of getting his timing back? Or is there something else going on? :-P

He can be a streaky player, I wouldn't be concerned but he is prone to having a lot of 0-4 nights

It's in his head right now, I was listening to the Dbacks broadcasters and they said Byrnes has been extremely hard on himself his entire baseball career, so chances are his self confidence isn't high right now. There was a story about how in HS he was facing Pat Burrell (who was pitching) in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs (men on like 3rd and 2nd down by 1) and he struck out and they lost the game. Burrell said when he got on the bus to leave Byrnes was still standing in the batters box most likely pissed at himself for not helping his team win the game. So, I think he just needs to clear his head and get a few hits strung together and he should be alright.

Krunk, thanks for the news. That was very insightful and I do hope he'll turn it around. He is not the main guy on my team but a contributor nevertheless. Your news is exactly what makes this forum so great, people sharing information and insight!

From what I know he's an after the ASB player. I was about to draft him before he got snatched, but luckily he did or I'd be in an even bigger mess with Prince and Hart also in my line-up. :/ I also sent a trade offer of Saito for him, luckily I sent one simultaneously to the owner with Torri Hunter and he accepted first. ;-)

From 2005-7 Byrnes had a .852 OPS Pre-All Star and a .679 OPS Post-All Star, and 53 SBs Pre-AS and 29 SBs Post-AS.

Yea, that is what have me so concern. He usually plays a lot better in the first half. Between him and Sheffield, my OF situation is a mess .. :-o

He has to stop doing dating game shows on "The Eric Byrnes Show" and focus more on raking.

What is up with this fool? Bases loaded and he hits into a DP??!? So he either hits into a DP or K in his at bats? Am I over reacting if I drop him? Anybody else feel the same way?!?
