Here are some projections on both Mags and Rolen. They may be a little inflated, but I think their fairly accurate...

Ordonez .316 32 HR 113 RBI 106 R 10 SB

Rolen .290 30 HR 107 RBI 90 R 12 SB

Given the fact that these are so close and Rolen plays 3B(and hits in a better lineup), doesn't it seem like Rolen is the better pick here?

They're really not that close. Aside from the 20+ extra runs/RBIs, the 26 points on the batting average is huge.

Is it still not close when you take their positions into account?

I mean if you pass on Rolen or Chavez, who at 3B can conceivably give you numbers close to their production?

I guess you could make a case for Lowell, Ensberg, or Blalock.

If you pass on Ordonez, you could probably get (somewhat) similar productions from Wells, Giles, or Huff.

answering your third base question that position is deeper this year than it has ever been. You'll still get good numbers our of hinske and you can take himin the latter rounds. people forget he was playing hurt last year.

Delgado in the Third is Crazy too. Either Mags or Delgado. If your going for the best available, I would go Delgado even though you have Thome.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. -Crash Davis
