what counts in yahoo as move?

It doesn't seem to count trades.

Does it count adding a player to roster or dropping them?

I don't think it counts both.

I can't find direct answer on yahoo help section.

under commissioner settings it is called "Maximum player acquisitions for entire season"

One of the teams in my league has added 41 players to his roster and dropped 40.

I have Maximum player acquisitions for entire season: set to 40 moves.

So that is what is confusing me.

Add / drop one player for another = 1 transaction (aka, move). I believe a "move" is synonomous with the actual acquisition of a player from free agency/waivers. So, if you just drop a player outright, you would not be completing a "move."

Do you mean that on the "League" page, under standings, it states this dude has 40 moves? If so, I would be befuddled as well.

i would suggest in teh years to follow post and do whatever necessary to make sure everyone knows of the max moves amount. i would have to assume he was not aware of how small it was, and is now screwed only 1/4 the way into the season.

if it is the case that he was unaware, you might think of bumping the max amount up to 60, giving him 20 more moves. i would hate to have a team where i couldnt make any moves for the rest of the year, and i would seriously consider not keeping up w it. but if he was aware of it, and is just an idiot...let it be i guess. you can only babysit so much

he can still make trades though and I didn't limit the number of trades

Moves are basically adds...dropping a player does not count as a move...trades don't count either.

We have it set at 50 max. for the year and at least 3-4 guys are already over 20...big money league so I hope these guys continue to load up on "spot" starts and get focked in the end.
