Updating a recent item, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports Cincinnati Reds SS Jeff Keppinger (knee) will have an MRI exam on his left kneecap Wednesday, May 14. Keppinger fractured his left kneecap in the game Tuesday, May 13, when he fouled a ball off his knee in the second inning. He continued his at-bat and drew a walk, but was later removed for a pinch-hitter in the fourth inning. He also had X-rays taken during the game.

disabled list informer is saying 4-6 weeks for a minor fracture. surgery for anything more. bummer.

Ill take the blame -- I was at work last night and told couple of league mates I was going home to pick up Keppinger (since my entire infield is down). On way home I hear the news. I have the majic touch (kiss of death) this year.
