Any 411 On Derek Lowe?

He started out so well this year, but has thrown some pretty poor clunkers in his last few appearances. He has bee steady for years, but is he having health problems now or just stinking it up? Does anyone have any information?

Lowe always throws in plenty of stinkers among his gems. Always has done and always will do. It's the kind of pitcher he is and when he's not getting it down in the zone he gets lit up like a Xmas tree. He is very inconsistent and if you've drafted him that's what you have to live with.

He's very durable and definitely won't be pitching injured but the reality is overall he isn't that good.
4th starter material and you just can't give him the ball everytime.

The best time to start him is when he faces right handed dominant hitting sides. His leftie rightie splits are very telling.

I dropped him for Lilly after his last stinker at home vs. the Stros. I rather have a couple extra K's when they decide to balloon my stats.
