A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://texas.rangers.mlb.com/media/vide ... 5122688487 I used to live there and frequequent the park a ton. To hit it past the vendors out there way past dead center and have it bounce on the cement walkway near all the shopping, Id say it traveled at least 475-485+ or more as the announcers said it did..Watch where it hits..Incredible power!

They said 447 on the air as the official measurement, which seems like shortchanging it a bit to me. Though it doesnt actually hit up on the councourse first, it hits 3/4 up the seats and bounces up there. In any case, somewhere around 450 i guess.
Considering hes "only" got 8, hes hit some big ones. Here are two more.
http://mlb.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?mid=200805062653924 and on this one the direct link is broken, but if you go to the 7th inning or scoring plays it will be there. i love the swing on this one.
http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.js ... de=gameday hes also got another 443 foot one, but that was a wind aided one so ill leave it off. opposite field though.

hit trackers got it at 466 as the 5th longest so far this year. and says the environment actually took one foot off the distance heh. tied for the longest in "true" distance with a howard bomb at 467.

The reason he "only" has 8 so far this year is b/c his GB% is like 42 or 43...so a lot of his flyballs go out of the park, but he's actually not especially proficient at getting it up in the air. Bigger sluggers usually get 35-37% GB and combine that w/ tremendous strength to get up to 35-40 HR. Nonetheless, Hamilton's statistical trends are very impressive and I see him finishing somewhere in the .285/30 HR/120 RBI realm.
