The Yankees released Aaron Boone today saying that he breached his contract and bought him out at just under a $1M.

Boone loses about $5M and the Yankees slash their payroll down to a paltry $181M.

The pick up basketball game that ended up changing the baseball landscape and breaking the hearts of the Red Sox Nation now costs Booner $5M. That's a shame.

Time for Theo Skywalker to sweep in and pick Boone up, let him spend the year rehabing and if he is ready to play in the ALCS vs. the Yankees

Time for Aaron to come back to the Reds. They'd be glad to have him this year for him to come back as a starter next year. What a deal! To have Aaron Boone back, and to get Brandon Claussen from the Yankees! :-B

I hate Boone. If it wasn't for him the yanks would've never gotten their grredy little paws on ARod. :-[
