12 team H2H Keeper league
I have Cameron Maybin but he has really been struggling in the minors and LaPorta has been doing very well. The guy who has LaPorta was interested in Maybin earlier in the season. Should I make this trade or hold on to Maybin?

Before the season, I'd say take Maybin. However, Maybin hasn't shown much signs of making contact, so I'd probably go with LaPorta now.

I am thinking the same thing. I have heard that Maybin is an overrated prospect but im new to the whole fantasy scene and not sure how much stock to put into these reports. It might be too late to make the trade but I think I like LaPorta better now even though I was looking for an OF who had some speed. I really am scared about Maybin's strikeout rate...any other opinions.

I like LaPorta more than Maybin myself. Maybin has a higher ceiling but I don't really believe he'll make it to that ceiling. And with that said I think LaPorta's floor is much higher than Maybins. Give me LaPorta.

The LaPorta owner just accepted the deal. I might kick myself later on but I really think that Maybin is overrated. In most prospects list I have looked at recently, LaPorta has moved ahead of Maybin. That could all change in a month or so but I feel like the poster above: Maybin may have the higher ceiling but LaPorta is the safer bet here I think. Thanks for the input guys.

Did I make the right move here? My current OF's are C. Lee, C. Young, N. McLouth, Ibanez, Rowand, Ludwick, and G. Anderson. Is he going to be able to stay in the OF in the majors? I have A. Gonz at first base, made this move with the hope that LaPorta can stay in the outfield.

They moved LaPorta to the OF, so you will be fine. I initially saw LaPorta as being the 5 or 6 batter for Milwaukee. I can see him getting Pat Burrell type of production numbers initially, as Braun and Fielder will get the majority of the RBI chances. He still is a good acquisition.
