After Uggla's two jack performance today I was fondly recalling my draft day. I remember clearly, it was the 10th round and I had my eyes set on Rich Hill as my 2nd starter. I had him queued up and was eagerly waiting to click the draft button. My turn came and in my haste I clicked the auto draft button on Yahoo instead. Much to my chagrin I drafted Dan Uggla. Hill went before my next pick and I was miserable the rest of the draft. Uggla's slow start didn't help either. Yet now after Uggla's torrid last 2 weeks and Hill's demotion I've laughed my way all the way into first. I now know that luck is by far the most important factor in fantasy baseball.

last season, something similar happened to me, i was about to pick and i had kinsler set as my pick but my comp froze up n i ended up with brandon phillips bc he was on my queue, but i was miserable the whole draft, and after the first month of the season i was fuming bc kinsler had like 10 hrs, and phillips was batting under .200. u have no idea how pissed i was. i was making the kinsler owner multiple offers for kinsler including phillips n other players but he didnt bite or sell high... thank god! by seasons end, i won the league and can now look back and laugh... luck played a big role on that one!

It sounds like you were lucky, and maybe you should autodraft more often.
