It's the last pick in the 20th round of a 12 team keeper league. It's not a snake draft. I am ready to pick my 6th SP and probably final SP( it just depends on whose left). I already have Prior, Clemens, Petite, Odalis Perez, and M. Redman. Pitching cats are W, K, Sv, hlds, ERA, and Whip. Which of the following would be a compliment to my current staff?
Lawrence
Eaton
Glavine
Armas Jr.
H. Ramirez
j. Thompson
May
D.Wells
Radke
Milton
Wakefield
V. Zambrano
Sheets
Kirk Rueter
Fogg
etc
etc
etc.
I could go on but that's plenty. I'm leaning towards Lawrence because of the improved lineup and the new ballpark but I would like a little input first.
I'd go with either Wakefield, Glavine, or Wells in that situation. They're all historically good pitchers, and Wakefield plays on a solid team. He's less likely to be affected by the big sluggers in the AL-East, since they'll still have to adjust to him every game they face him.
Lots of pretty good pitchers for that spot in the draft! I'd go with a K pitcher (or at least someone who has a chance of being one) like Sheets or Milton or Armas. I think at this stage I'd rather take a chance on a younger guy than the tired old cliches, Wells, Glavine, Radke, et al. Zambrano is another intriuging choice and I do really like Wakefield, because it's such an adjustment for the hitters to make every time they face him......
