Vernon dove for a fly ball and fell awkwardly on his wrist (it got caught up under him as he landed)... Rios moved to center, Wilkerson (newly acquired) came in to play right and Stewart came in to play left. Too bad Wells was just starting to heat up :-t .

Ouch, and I was just about to propose a trade for him. I guess that's out of the question until I find out his status.

update from rotoworld... "Blue Jays placed outfielder Vernon Wells on the 15-day disabled list with a broken wrist
We could be witnessing the beginning of the end for J.P. Ricciardi here. Wells will miss 6-8 weeks, forcing the Jays to put Alex Rios in center. Brad Wilkerson (now worth picking up in AL-only league) and Kevin Mench figure to platoon in right, so the team will have to keep going with Shannon Stewart in left and Matt Stairs at DH, which is how it was typically arranged before the Jays tried to shake things up with the addition of the two veteran outfielders. Adam Lind stays in Triple-A, and the Jays have about killed his trade value by showing no confidence whatsoever in him. Toronto is already in last place, and things look bleaker than ever now. Manager John Gibbons will probably go first, but this is ultimately Ricciardi's responsbility and he should have paid with his job some time ago."

I'm with you on the :~(

I added Hawpe to take Wells' place. Here are some other options - any of them sound better than Hawpe? This is my H2H league, and I could use some power:

Franceour (if he passes waivers)
Sheffield
Ludwick (hot right now - not sure of staying power)
Hinske
Rowand
Ibanez

Francoeur is probably your best bet, IMO. I have him pegged for a breakout 30+ HR season.

Francouer is going to have a huge year. Little bit of a slump right now, but walks are up and k's are down for the most part. More power, full season with Georgia Teix in the lineup this year. Gotta grab him asap.

Thanks for the input. I'd like to grab Frenchy, but I gotta see if he passes waivers. I have the #8 slot in a 10-team league, so I gotta hope the others aren't interested...
