Beckett rocked; Drew hurt

Coco Crisp has been injured but we do not yet have word what happened. J.D. Drew sprained his left wrist and came out. Jacoby Ellsbury went to right, but he has had to move to center. Youkilis played 17 games in left field in 2006.

X-rays were negative, so J.D. Drew is listed as day-to-day with a sprained left wrist.

With Brendan Moss and Bobby Kielty sidelined, the Red Sox would probably call up Jonathan Van Every if they needed an extra outfielder. However, it sounds like Drew will avoid the disabled list. He should consider himself quite lucky, as his injury came on a play remarkably similar to the one that led to a break for Hideki Matsui a couple of years ago.

Coco Crisp left Tuesday's game in the sixth inning with an upset stomach.

J.D. Drew had already left, so there better have been projectile vomiting involved for Crisp to take the rest of the night off, too. The Red Sox put Sean Casey at first, moved Kevin Youkilis to right and slid Jacoby Ellsbury over to center.
