Do you think Vernon Wells will match/surpass his numbers from last year? I picked him as an early third round pick and was happy to see him fall. Also it is a keeper league.

i like Vernon. I'm predicting almost the same exact stats as last year... I have him too...

I'd put an asterisk next to his name on draft day. He was one of those guys noted that slimmed down considerably coming into camp last week.

.330
42 HR
130 RBI
15 SB
120 Runs

He must be on your team already. Those are pretty lofty expectations....

Toronto doesn't run--its against there philosophy. He will never have double-digit SBs there. And how can you project 15 more HRs when he is dropping 20 lbs. of muscle? He will be more like .300/95/20/95/8

It's true Toronto doesn't run much, but Hinkse had double-digit SB's last year; I see no reason why Wells couldn't do something similar.... I don't feel 10-15 steals is a stretch for him at all!
And I really think he had his breakout year LAST year. Expecting much more than last season's numbers from him, could be asking too much. He was a monster!!! I don't think I'll be getting him in the 13th round again.....and I was heckled for that pick!
