This is the first year I decided to draft him on my teams. I am not feeling the love back in return.

"King" Felix is the all time most overhyped player in the history of the Cafe. There was virtual mania on this board when he was called up 4 years ago, and people who cautioned that it was possible that he would not be posting 250Ks and 2.00 ERA for 10 years were mocked mercilessly (I remember having people jump on me for daring to assert that his ERA might be in the 3.50-4.00 range in the early stages of his career).
If someone would said that James Shields or John Maine might wind up better in 2008, the only way people would have thought this possible is if Hernandez's arm would have fallen off. Goes to show how nothing is "can't miss".

So you're not a fan of an ERA under 3.5 and near a K/IP?

My guess is he's not a fan of a 1.43 WHIP and only 2 wins. The King pitched great early on but has fallen off as of late, allowing 14 ERs in his last 17.2 IP (Last 3 starts). He'll be fine on the year though, just don't expect a ton of wins and a great WHIP.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

Definitely needed a laugh this morning. Bailing on Felix is just dumb. He is a top-tier SP without a doubt.
Victor Martinez however...I finally bit in the 3rd round and phttthhhttt!!!!
My Friendliness bar...recently shrunk from 11.3 to 10mm long!!

Edison Volquez 7/03/1983
Max Scherzer 7/27/1984
Clay Buchholz 8/14/1984
Johnny Cueto 2/15/1986
Felix Hernandez 4/08/1986
Homer Bailey 5/03/1986
Philip Hughes 6/24/1986
It seems like everyone forgets how young Felix is. This is is only his third full season in the majors. Unrealistic expectations were heaped on this kid. He's still a work in progress and people should recognize him as such. He is only 22 years old and putting up 3.42/1.43 and 49 K's in 55 innings. The sky is still the limit with Felix even if a lot of people are inexplicably giving up on him long term.

The problem is he's still a very young cocky kid. He's also still learning how to pitch, he never seems to be able to get ahead of the count.
His ADP seems a bit early..he was drafted in the 7th-9th round, and he did not have 7th-9th round value last season. I know he was drafted based on the assumption that he will improve this season, but it's risky to just assume that since he's still so young and inconsistent.
