10 team H2H, 6x6, start 5 SP and 2 RP

C- Piazza
1B- Palmeiro
2B- Vidro
SS- Arod
3B- Glaus
OF- Maggs
OF- Beltran
OF- Wilson
Util.- Roberts/Hernandez (depending on what the team I'm playing that week looks like)
Bench- Hall, Huff, Crede

SP- Schilling
SP- Halladay
SP- Miller
SP- Prior
SP- Piniero
RP- Foulke
RP- Williamson
Bench- Benson, Weaver, Ol. Perez, Baez

Only weakness I can see could be Utility and Williamson but even then I've heard he's supposed to have a good year. Thanks!

wow how did you get A-rod and schilling?

My only question is, does your league have a just a "Pitcher" slot? because if it does then grab another closer. With H2H you can win the pitching categories with just closers because they pitch almost everyday thus accumlating more K's and points in other categories than your starter and usually a lower whip, but hold on to Williamson, he will have a good year

and yeah, i can see your team winning

Thanks for the feedback Guru. I got the 1st overall pick so I grabbed Arod and then I made a deal to get Schilling. There is no "Pitcher" slot, just the 5 SP and 2 RP. I hear your comment about getting another closer and putting him in there but our league doesn't allow for that. I think I've got the team to beat too ;-D Thanks!

To me, Arod and Schilling and Mags are 1st rounders, and Beltran and Glaus and (maybe) Piazza are second rounders. I'd be interested in seeing where you drafted everyone.

Sure, here's my team again and where I picked them. 24 rounds.

C- Piazza (trade)
1B- Palmeiro (trade)
2B- Vidro (6)
SS- Arod (1)
3B- Glaus (5)
OF- Maggs (2)
OF- Beltran (3)
OF- Wilson (15)
Util.- Roberts/Hernandez (FA's)

SP- Schilling (trade)
SP- Halladay (4)
SP- Miller (10)
SP- Prior (7)
SP- Piniero (16)
RP- Foulke (8)
RP- Williamson (18)

As you can see, I did most of my damage via the trade.

You should cruise in first all year.

What exactly was the trade that earned you Schilling & Piazza?

Schilling I acquired for Bartolo Colon (whom I had also acquired earlier), Ryan Klesko and Tim Wakefield.

Piazza I acquired for Adam Dunn and Paul Lo Duca.

How about the saves?

Postby DKippin » Tue Mar 04, 2003 6:16 pm

Great team, other than the fact that there are no saves other than from Foulke, who is coming off of a disaster year...Other than that, you appear to be dominant...
