no roster post needed a simple yes or no.... Jacobs would be the only guy I could drop for him is it a good move? I wouldnt be asking this if Jacobs didnt come up limp last night going into second.

This is a coin flip for me. Don't let one 3 HR game sway you too much.
I think both are in for 25 HRs, roughly. Votto gets you a better avg. but comes with a little more playing time risk.

Yes. Jacobs will have his hot streaks, but when all is said and done, he's just not as good of a hitter as Votto. Votto should post a much better average with the upside to trump Jacobs in the power categories, too, especially in that ballpark. Get him before he's gone.
