i think bob twkesberry or donovan osboure (or some former cardinal) threw one to Mark McGwire in or around the time he broke the record.

Why did Livan throw one the other day or something?

I think Galarraga for Det threw one to Ortiz yesterday (might have been a real slow curve, I only saw a quick highlight).

Thats was a curveball. Was at eye level and drop down to the strike zone.

Filthy.

But not an eephus pitch.

Reminds me of a scene that could have been out of the And 1 Baseball mixtape. :-b

It was a TV show, not a game. No crowd, and the ump was told to call it strike.
The pitch is called Gurogo.

Steve Hamilton a pitcher for Yankees in late 60s early 70s also threw one --he was a lefty.

Yes, I was at the Minny - St Louis game in the Metrodome, I think 1999, and Tewkesbury's first pitch to McGwire was so slow it hardly made it there but it was a strike. McGwire was so far out in front he nearly fell over but thought it was hilarious.....as did Tewkesbury.
