Anyone know what happened to Michael Young tonight. I just made a trade for him and couldn't believe he was out of the lineup after one at bat! Thanks for your help.

I didn't see the play but the announcers are calling it a "strained left hip flexor"

5/7: Michael Young flew out to shallow right field off of Erik Bedard and then was removed from the game with a injured left hip flexor according to the Star Telegram.

Our View: Young, who is hitting .375 over his last 14 games, needs to avoid a trip to the DL if he wishes to extend his streak of 200-hit seasons to six seasons. Check back for more details on this injury.

SS Michael Young left Wednesday's game with a sore left hip flexor muscle after flying out in the first inning. The Rangers aren't planning to put him on the disabled list right now, and Young hopes he could be back in the lineup within a day or so.
