I'm starting to get the feeling they'll rest him tomorrow too since Monday is an off-day, so this way he'd really get a nice breather.

Wouldn't be too shocked to hear if he hits the DL by Monday, either... haven't actually heard that anywhere, but that seems to be the way these things usually go.

Rotoworld is reporting that he'll likely be back Tuesday. It sounds like they're just being careful with him which is good. They have an off day tomorrow so I hope they do rest him today and give him an extra day. No sense in rushing him back and making the injury worse.

Only if you get FULL value. I don't think this is a guy that will fall off the table completely. He is going to be a top 5 at his position. Remember, he has been touted for a breakout for a few years, but injuries have held him back.

I don't think of Furcal as a breakout candidate, just as someone due to get back to his normal levels. He was hurt last year, but look at the 4 years before that...100+ runs, double-digit HRs, around 35 SBs. He's an established player at those levels, which are all easily attainable this year without a "breakout." He could even surpass those numbers this year. Last year was a down year simply due to an ankle injury in spring training that affected him all season.

He's worth keeping all year and is not a sell-high candidate (unless someone offers you Hanley!). I think he'll be top 4 at SS and may even beat out one of the Big 3 this year.

I don't think there's any way that he comes close to beating out Reyes, Rollins or Hanley, but he's definitely at the top of the second tier of SS's.

Yeah, I actually hope they keep him out today too even though I'm missing his contributions - it will probably pay off down the line to give him the extra rest.

I have him in my line up because I have no other ss options! I don't mind missing another day, I just hope all of this rest helps out and he comes back strong until the all star break!

If I were a betting man, I'd say there's a 90% chance he sits today, Torre seems to be extremely cautious of his team's catalyst, and I think it's the right decision...

Anyone starting hot SS options (Keppinger, Barmes, Hardy) over Furcal for this week?
