Any body know why he came out of the game?

I wasn't watching, but according to the Yahoo game notes:

CINCINNATI SECOND BASEMAN BRANDON PHILLIPS LEFT THE GAME IN THE TOP OF THE SEVENTH INNING WITH AN APPARENT LEG INJURY.

Man...I was hoping it was just rest b/c of the blowout...this is not good...

From what I read on the CBS live game blog, he pulled up on the way to first base, then stayed in the game after the trainers looked at him. After they got out of the inning, he didn't return on defense. Seems like a precautionary thing, and he probably won't miss more than a game, if anything.

Brandon Phillips left Wednesday's game in the seventh inning with a bruised left calf.

Phillips homered before leaving. He's day-to-day. The Reds have Thursday off, so there's a good chance Phillips won't need to miss any additional time.
