Also Michael Young's ceiling was nowhere near what he has accomplished.

Yes and no. I was interested in McLovin in 2006, but then Pittsburgh developed Chris DuffyMania, and I forgot about him. :~(

Hanley always had the tools to be a great hitter, but I agree I didn't see a 30 hr guy.

Johan Santana came out of knowhere, he was a rule five draft pick.
