BJ Ryan ready for b-2-b duty

Just heard on the telecast today that BJ Ryan has been declared ready for back-to-back work now if the Jays choose to do so. No word yet on whether we'll see him in b2b yet, but this is positive news. With the Jays pitching being so strong and offense struggling, there will be plenty of save opps in the future for BJ.

he almost blew the game tonight. I have him and McGown, who pitched 4 hit shutout ball, then the walks from BJ started. He did get the save with no damage done

Yeah i saw that he had 3 BBs in one inning. As long as he can get out of jams still he will be solid. Im still a little worried until we see more but if he was healthy all season he would be atop the saves leaderboards.

I imagine he'll have control issues through out the year given the nature of tommy john surgery and the fact that he came back so soon

Yeah, as BJ owner, he scares the crap out of me. He hasn't given up a run all year, but damn he makes it interesting. He seemingl puts two baserunners on every time out. I also don't know if MLB stat gameday is accurate, but they are showing his fastball in the upper 80's, not the low to mid 90's he threw when he was dominant.

I also wouldn't expect him to go tonight if a save opp arrives. He has been cleared to throw back to back, but he threw around 30 pitches last night.
