you dont have Cabrera batting 6th. HE is the best player on the team. HE should be batting 3rd with Ordonez batting behind him for protection. then you would see Cabrera take off and put up crooked numbers.

The new lineup has Guillen hitting 3rd and Sheff hitting 6th. Pudge is ninth and everything else is the same. Granderson leading off, Palanco in the 2 hole And Maggs and Cabrera 4th and 5th.

i still dont like the lineup.
when i heard there were going to be changes i was actually excited, thinking Cabrera would be 3rd, or attleast 4th. i was disappointed prior to the season when i saw he would be hitting 5th behind Sheffield and Ordonez. Cabrera IS the best hitter in the entire lineup, he is the one drafted in the 1st round in fantasy baseball, HE should be higher in the roder, bottom line!

Why not sign Bonds to DH then?

Leyland likes team chemistry, and by most accounts Bonds has never seemed to be a great clubhouse guy. I think him and Sheff may be a little strained over their "Flaxseed oil" past. I can't remember the details, but there was finger pointing, I thought.

i wonder if that will stick or change again. If Sheff is going to play LF they need to just DH Guillen and play Inge at 3B. as bad as brandons bat can be, Guillen may be the worst fielding 3B in the league

The way I read it, Sheffield in LF seems to be the plan on a fairly regular basis; at least until it doesn't work out.
