Left-handed pitcher who has not much to prove in the Minor Leagues anymore. His Major League debut last year was pretty bad and in his first start this year he was still having the same problem he had last season, walking too many guys. I do believe the BB rate will go down as he gets more comfortable at the Major League level. Fastball around 90, good slider and a decent changeup. Olson doesn't have the upside some other Orioles pitchers currently in the Minors have, such as Erbe, Liz, Arrieta and Spoone, but he might be one of the safest bets out of that group to stick with the big club, even though he might never be a front of the rotation guy.
As for this week, I'm spot starting him tonight against the A's in a 16 team league and he goes against the Royals in the weekend. If he does well tonight, I might hold on to him and start him against in Kansas City, especially cuz he's going against Bomko.
