Inge C eligibility??

Does this make him a lot more valuable? Where would he rank amongst the other C's?

Until somebody on the Tigers goes down for an extended period of time (or Jacque Jones gets benched), Inge is simply a utility guy. Two or three games per week, all of which are fairly unpredictable, makes his value pretty insignificant.

Even if he were traded he wouldn't have much more value than Napoli. Obviously, he'd have more value but he wouldn't turn into a fantasy stud just a backup catcher in most leagues.

Him gaining catcher eligibility today, in Yahoo leagues, certainly raises his value no matter how you look at it. Leyland loves his versatility and has said that he wants to find him a regular spot. If/when he gets it he'll be an asset at catcher in deep leagues. Until then he only has moderate value, even when played at catcher.

I run a lineup league with 2 C's in the starting lineup, so a guy like Inge or Doumit, with dual eligibility are good to have on the roster.

I could have written this. I have both as my catchers.
