May 1 Garza pitched a solid six innings against the Orioles Thursday, allowing three hits and two runs (a two-run home run by Adam Jones).
Recommendation: Despite the solid outing, he still may be sent to Triple-A with Scott Kazmir due to come off the DL this weekend.

He pitched well do you really think he will be sent to the minors? Has anyone heard anything differently?

Im interested because someone offered me Garza for J. Hermida. I have an abundance of OF's so I really want to accept the trade, but if he is sent down to the minors I obviously can't make the trade. Any help appreciated!

Not sure what is going on with the rays, but according to Sportsline he will pitch this wed. @TOR. Also Their website says that Hammel will be shifted from the #5 spot to the bullpen. I think he is safe in the rotation.

From Rotowire:
May 3 The Rays' decision to move Jason Hammel to long relief to clear a rotation berth when Scott Kazmir returns from the DL Sunday means that Garza will remain in the rotation.
Recommendation: Garza is one of the few Rays starters with options left, so he was a long-shot candidate to go down to Triple-A until his good outing Thursday at Baltimore (combined with Gary Glover's injury, which freed up a bullpen role for Hammel). Garza will next pitch on Wednesday at Toronto.
Looks like he's safe, as long as he doesn't pitch himself out of the rotation.
