I tried to trade for him when he was still on the DL earlier this season, glad the guy declined. Hope he comes back strong next season and ends up on my team!

Cole Hamels could pitch with only 1 leg
no legs.

Would he be pitching on Hamel Toes then?
After seeing the clip of that injury I cannot believe they let him pitch. Whoever the trainer is for the Brewers should be fired for not insisting that Gallardo be removed from the game before he ever stopped clutching his knee. Yost is dumb for letting him pitch more, but the trainer was negligent.
I suppose that Gallardo told him it was just a flesh wound, though so...en gaurde.

Surgery plans have not been announced. Is there any chance that he is not out for the season?

From yahoo:
May 3 RHP Yovani Gallardo could miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a torn ACL in his right knee. Gallardo was injured in a collision near first base with Chicago base runner Reed Johnson on Thursday but the injury was not considered serious at first. An MRI revealed the ACL tear and Gallardo was placed on the 15-day DL. A determination on surgery will be made next week.
It says "could" miss the remainder of the season, and "determination" will be made next week. Nothing definitive in those statements. And for that reason I have yet to cut him loose.
