Terrible blow, both for a promising young starter and for the Brewers chances. At least it's not an arm injury, hopefully he'll be back strong next year
The Brewer's fans comments on that page are hilarious.
"R.I.P. Brewers Season 3/31 - 5/2..."
This one was my favorite:
"Wow, that really sucks. And to add insult to injury, now we have to endure 6 months of Dave Bush"
Really unfortunate as a Brewer fan. I've watched every one of Gallardo's starts and he is going to be an ace level pitcher and the Brewers are every bit as good as the Cubs this year but an injury like this will most likely make us fall short.

If there's any good news.... people usually heal 100% from an ACL reconstruction. Cartilage damage is another thing, so let's hope thats all in tact. I had my ACL reconstructed and its absolutely fine now going on 7 years. He'll do fine.

True but with pitchers any injury, no matter how small, is troubling.

It sucks to see a great young pitcher like this go down. Luckily I only had him in one league. I'll miss him more as a baseball fan than a fantasy owner.
Really terrible news though.
