Brewers DFA Turnbow

Postby Ender » Fri May 02, 2008 11:49 am

I'm not sure what teams would be looking to add him but I think at least part of his problems are mental, the other part is his violent delivery makes it hard for him to control his pitches.

I dunno if he gains any value if a team like say Detroit signs him or not.

He is horrible.

I hope we don't sign him... He's abysmal.

What happened to this guy? A couple of years ago he was a nasty closer...

No one is going to pick up his $3 million contact. He'll be in the minors.

A trip to the minors might allow him to work out what are surely mechanical problems...he has the potential to be an unhittable closer so I hope the Brewers give him another chance. Especially since their top bullpen guy (Gagne) looks pretty shaky...

I think there is still hope for Turnbow. A change of scenery and a chance to regain his confidence in the minors might be good for him. He's still a dominate pitcher at times, but you can tell within his first 3 pitches if he's got it that day. And when he dosen't, he's going to get in trouble quickly. Once batters see he's not throwing strikes, they wait for the fastball down the middle.
