He's never hit that many in his career so why would you expect that many all of a sudden? Miggy is a great hitter, which means he looks for more than just teeing off every at bat. Just my 2 cents.

Not sure how you can say that he will never hit that many. The kid is only 24 and already has multiple 30+ HR seasons. It takes some time to adjust to leagues and so far it doesn't look like he will hit 40 this season. However, he still has a chance to hit 40 this year and in the future.

Right. Like Dusty says, he barely has his 'man-muscles.'

Between 30-40 probably. He is in that huge ballpark and he drew that short straw batting in the 5 spot where he has less protection.

I'd say batting 5th in the Tigers lineup has just as good protection batting 4th or 3rd in a lot of other ones. Guillen behind you at #6 is no shabby hitter...

MCab isn't a power hitter, he's a pure hitter with power, and he will certainly stay that way. He doesn't seem the type to sacrifice 15-20 points in BA to get an extra 5-10 homers, but if he can up his power total to 40-45 HR while retaining his .320-.330 BA, and in that Detroit lineup that scored 19 last week......watch the hell out. 8-o

He is really playing bad right now, his average needs to come up about 50 points.

He hit third today, which is where he belongs in that lineup.

Yeah, he's in a slump, but there's no question in my mind he's snap out of it. He's hitting in that lineup and he hasn't reached his prime yet.
