Got A-Rod, Pujol, Prior, Boone -- Where to start in Draft?

Postby Chee8119 » Wed Feb 25, 2004 6:14 pm

As mentioned above, I am keeping A-Rod, Pujols, Prior, and Boone in a 8-team 5x5 H2H League. I have the 6th pick in the draft, and I can't decide if I should go ahead and fill out my pitching with what's best availble, or go after one of the following bats that I think will be available:

For Power:
Delgado/Giambi (One will be chosen by an expansion team)

For Steals and R/RBI:
Renteria and move A-Rod to 3rd.

Or should I go for pitching with my first 2 or 3 picks seeing of my great position flexibility at offense? Let me know what you think?

What pitchers/hitters are available? I personally wouldnt take Giambi, but then again in the 5th round that isnt too bad. You could take a hitter this round and pitchers the 2 after that and still be fine in the pitching catagories.

I'de go renteria...speed is where you lack offensively...then stack your pitching the next 2-3 rounds...unless there is another stud P in round 1 and you think renteria will drop back to you in the 2nd...
