When will we see Jay Bruce?

Told ya! Minor stats mean nothing.

I disagree. The thing to watch for Bruce was his K rate which was extremely high at AAA and so far it seems like the issue still exist at MLB.

My theory on why Bruce has been underwhelming (post hot-start of course) is that the team he plays on is horrible, and his mgr's an idiot.

Dusty constantly shuffles the batting order, never giving whichever alignment he uses an adequate amount of time to gel and let guys get comfortable.

Their best hitters consist of a washed-up Griffey who's a shell of his former self and a strikeout machine in Dunn.

Phillips has been inconsistent all yr - playing far below his talent level IMO. It could be argued that their best player to date has been the "scrappy" Hairston Jr, who wasn't even supposed to be in the majors this yr.

Votto - who's supposed to be a power bat - is consistently placed in the 7 and 8 spots.

This lineup really isn't conducive to a breakout season by anyone, and I think that saps the value of any presumptively "worthy" fantasy contributors.
