Callup: Adenhart Debuts Tonight!

The Los Angeles Times reports that Nick Adenhart will be called up from Triple-A to make his major league debut Thursday night against the A's.

A 21-year-old former first-round pick who is 4-0 with a 0.87 ERA at Triple-A, Adenhart will be working on just three days rest after tossing 98 pitches over eight innings of one-run ball Sunday. Manager Mike Scioscia said Wednesday that Adenhart will likely make three starts, filling a rotation spot until John Lackey returns from the disabled list. He's one of the better right-handed pitching prospects around and is worth grabbing in AL-only leagues.

Max Scherzer will be playing the role of Tim Lincecum in the theatrical production of the 2007 season....latest rumors are that Nick Adenhart is trying out for the role of Homer Bailey.

Well, at least the owners who lost out on Cueto and Scherzer due to lack of No. 1 waiver will have a shot at this kid ... from anywhere in the waiver priority spectrum, most likely.
