I thinking he will have a decline. I see 270-12-50 and 23 SBs. Any other predictions.
Baseball is the only field of endeavor where a man can succeed three times out of ten and be considered a good performer.

Yeah I agree. I can definitely see those sbs going down on the count of he is not as fast as those other 40+sb guys. Now that he is more known, he won't be sleeling as much.

I would take a chance on him late no early than th 16th. You never know he could repeat but I doubt it. Also outfielders are a dime a dozen so it dosnt hurt to take chances with OF. You can always find another one to plug in.

Also just for interest sake where would you take Kenny Lofton in comparison?

I would traeat Lofton about the same. Be aware that if Giambi's body cant hold up at first. He goes back to DH and this puts Lofton on the bench. This is a very disticnt posibilty. I would not draft Lofton personally but I would look for midseason help on the FA wires from him.

I disagree. The Yankees want Lofton as their lead off man and they also can't get Bernie out of CF quick enough. If Giambi doesn't play first (and by the looks of him he sure looks fit and healthy so I think he will) Bernie would sit out IMO. Lofton should get close to 550 AB's this season. Will maybe just sit against lefties.

Decline on POds. No way he can keep up his BA/OB/SLG numbers from last year...and all of his resulting numbers, including SB's will fall.
The only good news is, once Jenkins is traded or goes DL, who else do they have? He'll at least get the AB's.
