Spring training games on the tube

Postby nsulham » Wed Feb 25, 2004 4:17 pm

Just got my TV Guide and was looking at the sports schedule. Apparently ESPN is doing some sort of afternoon spring training games series or something.

Next Wednesday at 1 p.m. is Dodgers/Mets, Thursday at 2 p.m. is Cubs/Giants and Friday at 1 pm.m is Phillies/Yankees . ALl times are eastern.

I personally love this idea, ESPN to my knowledge has never really aired spring games before. Usually I have to settle for local broadcasts. Now I'll have something to watch during the day next week!

Here's a link to the ESPN baseball schedule as it stands now (13 spring training games on ESPN or ESPN2; the first regular season Japan game at 5 a.m. on March 30, the Sunday night games through June, and a couple of Wednesday night games).

Yeah, those Bastards! They used to show pretty much every game. And it's not like they have anything better to show.
