In my Top 25 2008 Catchers rankings that I came out with, I labeled a few non-starting catchers that would overtake their competition and become fantasy worthy.

COL Chris Iannetta batting .324 in 34 ABs 5R 2HR 6 RBI
LAA Jeff Mathis batting .302 in 43 ABs 10R 3HR 7RBI 1 SB
ARI Miguel Montero batting .333 in 12 ABs 2R 0HR 1RBI (note: add 3/4 performance tonight)

compared to...

COL Yorvit Torrealba batting .240 in 75ABs 3R 2HR 9RBI
LAA MIke Napoli batting .218 in 55ABs 8R 6HR 11RBI
ARI Chris Snyder .210 in 62ABs 7R 1HR 13RBI

I expect all 3 of these guys to overtake their counterparts and become fantasy productive. They are quickly taking time away from the current starters (Mathis especially).

Kurt Suzuki & Ryan Doumit (if healthy) both look to outperform their draft slots too. Jeff Clement, who will eventually get C eligibilty but will most likely DH/1B this year, was just called up and he has a monster bat for a catcher. Also, with the recent Salty promotion, Taylor Teagarden has been promoted to AAA to take Salty's place. Its already been rumored that Laird will be moved in favor of either Teagarden or Salty behind the plate with AA's Chris Davis (who is raking the minors) taking over as the DH (easily done with Botts now DFA). There is also a good chance you'll see Matt Weiters make his debut this year (possibly the most offensive prospect yet to be added to most fantasy databases).

Matt Kemp will be freed from his Pierre-Jones prison and become a must-add stud.
