Smoltz owners, start formulating a contingency plan at starting pitcher...

Maybe he'll dominate as a closer again and then stay there because a dominant reliever always beats a dominant starter in modern baseball. :-D

I'm glad I don't own Smoltz though.

Depends on the kind of league. He will be the only player with SP/RP status that's a closer, and in some leagues that's absolute gold.

He's acted with enough class and given enough to that organization that he can pretty much call his shots within reason.

Not to mention his talent level dictates that he can actually do what he says.

Exactly. If I owned Smoltz, as a Soriano owner I wouldn't be scrambling nearly as much as I am. :-S
