Sox fans: where best to sit at Fenway?

I have to be in Boston next week for work and am planning on going up Sunday so that I can catch a game at Fenway, which I've never done before. Should I try to get seats on the Monster or shoot for something else? Also, I'm trying to buy on the official website and on eBay. Is there another source of tickets that I should be looking to? Thanks for any advice you can give.

I'm sure game is sold out and you won't get tix on the official site. Monster seats are great..avoid right field grandstand sections 1-4. Watch out for "obstructed view" seats...you will have a pole in your face. E-bay is probably best bet..sites like stubhub are rip-offs.

you might have a shot at the $25 standing room 'seats' .. don't get the mezzanine standing room go for the upper level

Only way you will get seats at face value would be getting there very early and standing in line. Best bet is probably craigslist or eBay as all games are sold out on Redsox.com Even bleacher seats are fun though.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited. I was at game 4 of the World Series at Busch Stadium in 2004 and was amazed at how well the Sox fans traveled and at how gracious they were in victory. Since then, I made up my mind that I need to see a game at Fenway at some point. Plus, as a baseball fan, Fenway's kind of my Stonehenge. I knew I'd have a tough time paying face value for anything, but I'm wondering if springing for Monster seats are worth it. They are really expensive. Other tickets on ebay seem quite reasonable, though. I hadn't thought of Craig's List. I'll give that a shot and see what I find.

To be honest, any seat in the house is a good one. Its a small park and even out in the bleachers (where I've sat each of the last two years for games) you're not too far from the action. Good luck!

last time i was there i was in the right field bleachers a few rows behind the bullpen. it was really neat seeing the pitchers warming up, and before the game yelled at delcarmen till he gave a kid an autograph at the start of the game just be sure to get there early to see BP and walk around the stadium

like someone else said avoid right field grandstand and look out for obstructed views. the right field grandstand seats are awful. small seats that point towards center field. You end up with a hurt back, hurt knees and a strained neck. standing room only is better than those seats.

best seats I ever had there were off of third base. monster seats are fun but probably more expensive than they are worth.

My favorite seats in the park are the RF Roof Deck seats, but I don't know how they'd be if you're going by for yourself.
