Rays homers, what's the situation with Carlos Pena? Just a slump? Still expectations of something like 40/110/275?

He is trying to pull the ball and not go back up the middle like he was doing all last season. I also don't think he is fully recovered from that hammy issue. You can tell his reaction time is off in the field and I think he is favoring that leg when he is at the plate. I think he will be fine over the long haul, but he needs to start going back up the middle

He played a game against the O's without hitting a dinger... man, I dunno, he might be in trouble.

He's had a reasonable number of homers, it's the average that concerns me.

This will probably serve as a jinx, but Pena has a 7 game hitting streak going, capped off by a HR tonight. Looks like he might be busting out of his slump.

I will hold you accountable depending on his upcoming performances.

Hope so - I snagged him off of waivers last week. Yes, there was someone so impatient they dropped him at the end of April! :-B

Yeah, I guess the hammy was just bothering him, but he looks fine now. Hopefully that homer is the start of his killstreak this season. He really game my team a boost last season from the lack of Hafner's performance.

I got this guy in 2 leagues from the get-go and I'm expecting some serious numbers from him this year. It seems like he's getting a bit impatient to me, his BB/K are lower than they were last year. 103BB/142K in 148 games and in 30 games this year, 13BB/35K and summer's not even around yet.
