The Impaler:

2007: 186 for 574 89R 27HR 125RBI 2SB .324AVG

Vladdy has been a disappointment this season though.

Ya, I can agree with you on that. But I have a feeling it'll all be down years for a lot of players that've traditionally done well. So come Aug I'll probably still reporting how Ichiro is batting .288 and killing my team because I kept waiting for him to heat up and missed out on better FA prospects. I've been trying to trade him in my league and the best offer I got was Johnny Damon... and Alex Gordon, who are actually both doing better than him point wise I think.

Ichiro is still batting under .300. Ichico is still sucking for a top round pick just like the dissapointment that is of A-Rod. At least he got a bunch of stolen bases otherwise he would have been completely worthless in the month of May.

Players that are studs so far this year:
Chipper, Berkman, Tejada, Utley, Pujols, Hamilton,

Players that have been horrible dissapointments so far this year:
ICHIRO, A-Rod, Helton, Ortiz (???), Holiday

ichiro was the 15th ranked player for the month of May and delivered exactly what you drafted him for. Ichiro is a career .330 hitter and he hit .330 in may. His 18 runs is his normal monthly output and 18 steals is simply insane.

ortiz had a ops over 1.0 in may, excellent.
ichiro was his usual self in may.
A-Rod has a ops over 1.0 since returning, excellent.
matt holliday had a ops over 1.0 in may before getting injured.
todd helton wasnt a top tier player coming into this year anyway.

a couple guys got injured and a couple of others had bad aprils but returned to normal in may. oh no.

vlad is the main premiere player who hasnt rebounded. theres still plenty of time.

Very nice numbers. If that doesn't convince him, I don't know what will...

I wouldn't worry about Ichiro at all. If he does lose a step soon, I see him as adjusting his swing to hit more gap base hits, and maybe even develop a little more power. He may miss out on infield hits, but could become a bit more of a slugger.

Yup... Ichiro sucks... I am glad I traded him about a month ago. NOT!

Don't EVER doubt Mr. Ichiro!!!!

Then again, I traded him in a keeper league for Jason Bay and a 1st round pick for 2009 so I don't feel all that horrible.
When it comes to exaggerating, I always give 110%.
