Seriously - no one wants him other than for WW fodder? I find it hard to believe - unless your league is populated totally with super-impulsive players like you. Ichiro is money in the bank - it's completely nuts that you're declaring him a bust after a mediocre April, ESPECIALLY when the stats show this is his pattern.
Man, I need to be in more leagues with people willing to deal superstars for little after one lackluser month...
After reading my last post, it appears a little spiteful and pretentious and that was not my intention.
I have coveted Ichiro the last few years and fell short in winning, 2 and 4. I proposed Ichiro trades throughout the year trying to capitalize on his slumps (mainly April) because I believe he is the most sure thing for fantasy.
Besides Pujols, Ichiro is the only the guy that delivers year in and year out with a plus 5 years proven track record. I am not that stat devoted to compare all-star MLB players for hours so this is purely speculation, but Ichiro returns the value expected.
The bottom line is you know what you are going to get with Ichiro and the risk is not big enough to forego the reward at this stage in his career. I will expect declination at age 36 but not now.
True, 2006 stuck out in my mind but it was still a good year. You get my drift though. There aren't many guys that usually deliver pre-season and projected expectations.
Update for the end of May, his suppose it hottest month:
Ichiro is still batting under .300. Ichico is still sucking for a top round pick just like the dissapointment that is of A-Rod. At least he got a bunch of stolen bases otherwise he would have been completely worthless in the month of May.
Players that are studs so far this year: Chipper, Berkman, Tejada, Utley, Pujols, Hamilton,
Players that have been horrible dissapointments so far this year: ICHIRO, A-Rod, Helton, Ortiz (???), Holiday

I disagree with you on many facets of your points.
If you call Ortiz's 35Rs, 12HR, 41RBI with a .251Ave on a bum knee a disappointment and Hollidays 33R, 8HR, 26RBI, 8SB and .321 on a hammie injury AND Arods 21R, 7HR, 19RBI in only 127 ABs then either your expectations are way too high or you're smoking crack.
Helton is the only one on the list I would agree with... Those other players are still helping out in a major way on many teams. Though they arent playing like the did last year, they are still plugging away in the stat columns. Remember its still early in the season and they have a lot more games to play.
as quoted from Y! Buzz index. "Change is one constant in fantasy sports. Players get hot and cool down, get hurt and get well, and move in and out of roles. Fantasy owners are constantly reacting to these changes (or at least they should be). "
