We have weekly claims, (sunday nights) and its a blind auction.....How much FAAB is safe to drop on this kid, is he up for good? whether it be @ DH or C for the Mariners in the big leagues, my league has him eligible @ C. He is a must claim for me, especially since we start 2 catchers weekly.

MY CURRENT CATCHERS: (2 started weekly)

C - J.Posada $26 (on the DL)
C - JR.Towles $14
C - P.Bako $1 (on a hot streak which will end soon) I like Clement better, for obvious reasons.

As you can see, I need help here, :-o

IS $15 too much to drop on this kid, I think he will be the best thing out there, this season in my deep 14 team league, almost all the kids are already drafted and on minor league rosters (3 spots per team) except.....Clement wasn't taken. so he is currently on the wire.

Any info is greatly appreciated......Thanks

I would grab him, I think his career is going to be similar to Jorge Posada with more power and a better obp. With Jason Varitek type leadership.

I began the season with Towles, picked Johjima off waivers... assuming he gets catcher eligibility, and a good enough number of at bats... do I really drop Johjima, an experienced bat for Clement? I know he raked in the minors, but will he out perform Johjima for the year in my catcher spot?

Maybe i just don't want to dump Johjima after getting him off waivers... I mean the guy was a top 6 catcher the last two years!!!! :-o

I wouldn't give up on Johima yet. It's early and he's proven to be a good hitter. I'm keeping an eye on Clement though.

is it worth dropping Towles for Clement? I have Doumit at C but if Clement can get his C wings I could use him there and move Doumit to OF or UTIL.

Towles is struggling and his play time is getting shortened, he's just dead weight right now :~(

Clement hasn't shown much at the plate in his first few games, but they are batting him fifth today.

What are the chances the he'll be the everyday DH and play back-up catcher at the same time? If this is the case, then he'll likely play every single game, which he can be very valuable for the catcher position (saying he produces). So, is there a possibility that he will win the everyday DH spot against Vidro?
