News: The L.A. Daily News reports that the Angels made two moves Monday, as follow-up moves for the ones they made Friday. They optioned relievers Jose Arredondo and Rich Thompson while calling up catcher Bobby Wilson and infielder Brandon Wood from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Analysis: Wood was playing shortstop in Triple-A and he has good power. Consider a potential impact Fantasy player in all formats once he starts to get regular at-bats.

I wish there was a little more info in that report. So is he just coming up to fill a hole for a few days or do they want him to start somewhere? Maybe they want to move Figgins to 2B and bench Izturis?

i think he's taking macier's bench spot and macier might be DFA'ed when howie comes back.

figgins and howie are obviously secure and aybar has been fantastic.

That sounds about right. With Hendrick on the team, it might not be a bad idea to have another INF up.
