Do you guys think that there is a chance that Porcello get the call-up?
After watching both Andrew Miller and Maybin get the call to the majors from AA, I feel that there is a good chance that Porcello gets a September call-up.
I'm pretty sure they'll cap his IP at something around 120 this year. Considering he was pitching for a NJ high school team a year ago, I don't think they should push him any harder.

When will this Porcello madness end? He is a great prospect, but high school pitchers(especially those from the Northeast part of the country)do not make it to the majors in one year. The Tigers had to call up Andrew Miller, who had gone to COLLEGE for three years, because it was written into his contract. Who knows why the Tigers called up Maybin last year.....He was not ready from a development standpoint. Not even Detroit would screw this up....they know he is their future. They will treat him with kid gloves. Porcello will need AT LEAST 2 years in the minors to work on his command and build up his arm strength(get some innings under his belt). Think September 2009 for a cup of coffee while he gets ready to open in the rotation in 2010.
