Where did Scott Olsen's Strikeouts go?

He's pitching well, but where the hell did his strikeouts go? He was 8+K/9 two years ago? And I'd like to have that back with his new found control? Is that too much to ask?
Does anyone have any ideas about this?

He lost them in AA (Alcoholics Anonymous, I mean).

Probably a combination of things. One, he has matured more as a pitcher and thus doesn't try to K people anymore. Instead he focuses on getting ahead of the hitter and just getting him out. Two, his K rate will probably go up as he relies on movement. Once the weather warms up look for the K's to go up.
