What do you think? It is an 8x8 league (R, H, HR, RBI, SB, E, AVG, OPS) (W, L, SHO, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, K/BB). The Sluggers (me) origionally had the number 10 pick, but I traded up to the number 2 pick. The trade was my first, second and fifth rounder for YankeeH8r's first, second and 15th rounder. The other trade thus far is the War Pigs trading for Vlad. He packaged his first (#11 overall), second and 6th rounder for manila's second and sixth rounder and Vlad.

Pedro at No. 4, Delgado at No. 6, Gagne at No. 10, Ramirez at No. 11 were all surprises at where they were taken when considering the players available. Soriano dropping to No. 7 was an eye-opener. This is a 3 player keeper league just starting up on Yahoo and is H2H

I wouldn't have made the trade. Snake draft right? You improved you first pick, took a hit on your second pick, and lost big by giving away your 5th round pick for a 15th round pick. Look at it this way:

Assuming it's a snake draft you had picks:

10th overall
23rd overall
74th overall

You traded that away for picks:

2nd overall
31st overall
226th overall

So your first pick you gained 8 spots.
Second pick you lost 8 spots.
Third pick you lost 152 spots.

I wouldn't have done it.

I agree that you shouldnt have done that trade. Also the 1st eleven picks were terrible. pedro and delgado going before helton, soriano and beltran? And Gagne is the 1st round. wow.

i think you are dumb for doing that trade. pretty much giving up a 5th for a 15th just to get pujols? you are crazy.

and what's with those picks of everyone else? i need to get in your league next year. lets make it for a lot of money.

Yeah, I know.....it was a stretch to make that trade.....but I REALLY wanted Pujols. I usually don't let that affect me much, but since it's a keeper league and he's really young and a true top notch, elite, star-studded, proven, unbelieveably talented, through the roof player I had to have him! Can you tell I'm head over heels for the guy, in a non-sexual way?

HAHA.

That and he's my favorite player. I usually don't do trades or pick up players because they are my favorite players, but he's a stud.

I figured I get that reaction, and it is deserved no doubt. That's ok, I'm a good drafter and will make up for it, and if I don't at least I have Pujols for next season!

It is a snake draft

The key for me is will I get the guy I wanted with my original second rounder with my new second round spot. In this draft I am learning anything is possible. If I do get that guy, then I think I'm fine. I can make up for punting the 5th rounder for Pujols. But if I don't get my man.....then yes it hurts me a lot more than helps me.

Delgado at 6th is way to early for him imo.
