This is just another case of the Cafe Hypochondriacs!

By the way, I'm watching the Braves game on Sport South and Joe Simpson just reported that there was "no tears, or structural damage for Smoltz," and that "rest was needed."

This is good news for Smoltz owners.......like myself.......

Absolutely, this is great news for Smoltz owners - he got a shot and needs to rest, the way Smoltz was talking I thought it would have been worse. Hopefully we get him back by June

That's still a couple weeks without Smoltz, this is somewhat reminiscent of what happened to Sheff.

Smoltz going to the bullpen isn't that bad. He immediately becomes a top line closer probably in between Paps and Nathan.

It is bad if you need him to come back as an SP sometime this year...

Yeah, I didn't draft Smoltz to be a top-notch closer. I drafted him because I need another Ace in my rotation. I'd rather have 4 Ace's in my rotation than 4 Closers.

You might be know as the Mighty Mess very soon if that's the case....

I at least have Gallardo, Shields and Volquez but I definitely feel your pain. Smoltz has been nothing short of awesome this season and losing him right now is really tough.
