Michael Young left Sunday's game after six innings with an apparent hamstring injury.
A day-to-day injury for Young could force Hank Blalock to the DL whether he's going to need two weeks off or not. The Rangers would probably call up Ryan Roberts to help fill in, with Ramon Vazquez sliding over to shortstop.

Texas was without 3B Hank Blalock for the second straight game due to a strained left hamstring Sunday against the Twins. Blalock reported that some of the soreness has subsided. He'll have an MRI exam on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

Blalock has been talking the last few days about a stint on the DL, but Monday's MRI should decide that. Here we go again with Blalock. As soon as he gets going at the plate, another injury pops up. It's like a never-ending cycle with him. With Blalock talking DL stint, he looks like an extremely risky start for Fantasy Week 5 (April 28-May 4). When healthty, he is a viable corner infield option in mixed leagues.

Young was lifted after six innings on Sunday to give his sore calf some extra rest, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Texas had a comfortable lead at the time, and Young is expected back in the lineup on Tuesday after a team off day on Monday. Keep him active.
