Interesting article, thanks----but here`s a quote from it:

Thats not exactly done----and at this point , I`d take it---especially the HRs.

I guarantee you don't get those numbers from him........he's gonna be lucky to match last years totals.

He hit two doubles last night, including a key knock in extra innings that set up the winning hit by Cabrera. I'm not ready to give up on him yet. I realize that last year gives us all reason to be worried but during April '05, he played a full month of games and only hit one homerun and seven doubles. He went on to hit 33 HRs, 42 doubles and slug over 1.000 that year. I still think he can bounce back...

Is anyone starting to get the itch to actually put him in your lineup yet? I've been keeping him on the bench for a while, Prince at 1B, and using Justin Upton or sometimes Longoria at Util.

He hasn't really shown the power coming back, like he's getting dialed in. But he's making good contact, only 4K vs 5BB, 6 for 20 2 doubles, 2 RBI and even a steal today (tho i assume it came on a double steal. didnt see the first 7 innings today). In the last week, that's a HUGE improvement from what was going on just a short time ago. He's been on record, saying he's adjusted his swing and it's not as if he's 100% comfortable with the changes right now at the plate, and said that's just going to take a bit of time before it feels natural again.

I wanted to see if this is just my inner fanboy's desire to see him back to normal, clouding my judgement. Or if anyone else (preferably who has seen him play in the last week) sees the same signs I do.

Perhaps inner fanboy..i think he is waiver wire fodder until he gets his spot in the lineup back and produces there..ton of guys out there now who can give you what he has/will give until then.

I sure wouldn't in my 12 team roto league...
In my opinion you'd have to be in a pretty shallow league to have to drop him.
