I don't know the min, but he'll at least go on the dl, so 15 days for sure. Max, he could be done for the year.

As soon as they got the diagnosis on Jorge, they should have called your cell phone. Shoot Cashman an email with your number, so he has it.

Personally I could care less if the team said he had cancer and it only turned out to be a cold. I have read several posters proclaim Toronto as liars who shouold never be believed again based on their handling of BJ Ryan last year - so that tag should be applied here as well.

The Yankees were carrying three catchers for a few days until they felt sure both Posada and Molina could catch. If they knew Posada was going on the DL, they wouldn't have DFA'd Chad Moeller the other day, leaving them with just one catcher for yesterday's game. This situation is nothing like what the Blue Jays have done.

According to an unnamed source, Posada should not be out for the entire season. And a more specific timetable will be given in a few days...

Buster Olney reported on ESPNEWS that the initial examination of Jorge Posada's shoulder injury showed no major damage.
